Junee Seniors Festival 2026 Event Calendar

The 2026 Junee Seniors Festival will be held from Sunday March 1 through to Saturday March 15, 2026.

There are tons of exciting activities and events happening OVER TWO WEEKS and across Junee Shire, including:

Bus Trip to Whitton Malt House & Cotton Gin
Vintage Speedway & Karts, and Khanacross @ Illabo Motorsport Park
Open Days @ Junee Mens Shed
Movies and Events @ the Athenium Theatre
Concert by local schools, Budgerigar Show, Raffles, Markets, Dancing, Live Music, Bingo, Lawn Bowls, and Croquet @ Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club

Junee Shire Council

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 Junee Seniors Festival.

Over the next two weeks, our community will come together to celebrate the energy, resilience and lifelong contributions of our senior residents. This festival is a chance to reconnect with friends, try something new, and enjoy the many activities that make Junee such a vibrant and caring place to live.

This year’s program is packed with opportunity. From Tai Chi, Gentle Water and Heart Moves at JJRAC, to Croquet, Line Dancing and Bingo at the club, there are countless ways to stay active and engaged. The Library once again plays a central role, hosting Seniors Games, Scrabble, Knitting Club, a special health and medication talk and a Commonwealth Bank Workshop designed to support practical learning.

We are also proud to showcase events that bring people together across the region – including the Official Opening, the Bus Trip to Whitton, Illabo Vintage Cars and Khanacross, Broadway Museum Connect, Midday Melodies and our much-anticipated Luncheon and Closing Dinner. Live music, dancing and community raffles round out what promises to be a memorable fortnight.

Seniors Festival is about more than a calendar of events. It is about recognising the friendships, leadership and quiet contributions that shape our town every day. The knowledge and experience within our senior community is something we deeply value and celebrate.

I encourage you to take part, support one another, and most importantly, enjoy the connection and companionship that this festival represents.
