Association Name

 
Our full legal entity name is Junee Seniors Incorporated.

This name was adopted at the September 10, 2024 Annual General Meeting. Prior to that we were known as “Junee Senior Citizen’s Welfare Club Incorporated”.

Note: We are still awaiting ASIC and Fair Trading NSW to update their records to reflect our new name. We expect this to be completed by the end of October 2024.

Junee Senior Citizens Club Incorporated was registered on April 16, 2007 by Office of Fair Trading, New South Wales.

We are a registered Association.

Our Registration Number is INC9887328.

Our ABN is 97 033 411 902 and are NOT currently registered for GST. The Junee Senior Citizen’s Welfare Club is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) from 01 Jul 2000. It is covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.

Not for Profit Status & Charitable Purpose

 
As per Section 40 of our Constitution, the Association is a non-profit entity.

Non-profit status — Section 40: Subject to the Act and the Regulation, the association must not conduct the association’s affairs in a way that provides a pecuniary gain for a member of the association. Note: See the Act, section 40.

Junee Seniors Inc is established to be a charity whose purpose is to advance social and public welfare for Seniors, aged 50 and over, residing within and/or visiting the Junee Shire by:

  1. Providing social activities to promote their physical and social well-being,
  2. Organising activities that facilitate social interaction, the building of new friendships, and reconnecting with peers,
  3. Promoting a sense of belonging and community,
  4. Promoting life-long learning and personal growth,
  5. Linking members to community engagement programs,
  6. Establishing and maintaining a Club for the use and benefit of members, their families and guests, and maintaining a Clubhouse.

Constitution

 
The Constitution for Junee Seniors Inc is based on the Model Constitution dated 31 July 2024, as supplied by Fair Trading, NSW, but Section 40. Non-profit status & Charitable Objectives of the Association has been modified to include the Charitable Objectives of the Association.

The Junee Seniors Inc Constitution was adopted at the September 10, 2024 Annual General Meeting.
