Australian Government
Thanks to $6,000 funding via The Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Programme Round 8 the Junee Seniors were able to replace the old, heavy and bulky tables and chairs within the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall with modern lightweight and easily stackable tables and chairs.
We were also able to purchase a couple of lockable storage cabinets allowing us to secure archived documents, supplies and various other items when the Hall is hired out to other local community groups.
NSW Government
Thanks to the NSW Government’s funding of $60,783 through ClubGrants Category 3 Fund Infrastructure Community Infrastructure grant the Junee Seniors were able to undertake the following projects within the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall:
- Replace two aging toilets with a single uni-sex accessible toilet
- Install a Presentation System (includes Smart TV, Soundbar, Blu-Ray Player, Video Conference Camera
- Install Internet and Public Access WiFi
- Install CCTV Security Cameras
- Purchase of a portable EFTPOS terminal
Thus, bringing the Hall into the 21st Century! and making it a revitalised meeting and event venue suitable for local community events, meetings and activities conducted by local not-for-profit organisations.
GrainCorp
Thanks to a generous donation of $10,000 through a GrainCorp’s Community Fund Grant, the Junee Senior’s were able to:
- Develop this website
- Establish a social media presence
- Have a logo designed, along with a Branding Guidelines document
- Purchase modern, wall mounted First Aid Kit and Automatic Defibrillator
- Purchase additional fire extinguishers and fire blankets
- Purchase new, modern cleaning equipment including a wet/dry vacuum cleaner, a cordless stick vacuum cleaner, and cordless leaf blower
- Accessories to improve our raffle and fundraising activities (including folding table and chairs, secure cash box, marketing sign holders, internet wi-fi hotspot for use with our portable EFTPOS terminal, plus cables and a charger for our EFPTOS Terminal and internet access hot spot
ARTC Inland Rail
Thanks to a $2,500 grant from Inland Rail’s Community Sponsorships and Donations program, the Junee Seniors were able to purchase new, modern and matching commercial grade crockery, cutlery and glassware for use at events and functions held within the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall.
Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR)
FRRR, the Foundation of Rural Regional Renewal provided a $13,000 grant through their Investing in Rural Community Futures Fund (IRCF) to help us reduce volunteer fatigue, build the capacity of the Junee Senior Citizens Club, and assist the wider Junee community by supporting the Junee Senior Citizens Hall upgrade.
Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club
Thanks to a $500 grant through ClubGrants Category 1 via the Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club, the Junee Seniors were able to purchase a commercial grade storage cabinet for use in our new unisex accessible toilet and to have a custom table built by the Junee Men’s Shed for use in the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall.
The Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club donated a further $2,100, through the 2024 ClubGrants Category 1 & 2 round, enabling us to expand the secure storage facilities within the Junee Senior’s Hall to store our new commercial grade crockery, cutlery and glassware.

Alpha First Aid
Officeworks
Thanks to a $227 donation through the Officworks Community Assistance Program, we were able to obtain additional resources to market and to conduct our raffles and fundraising efforts.

Junee Community Network
Junee Community Network have worked with the Junee Seniors to scope many of our project and develop appropriate budgets. Then they have written and submitted many successful grant applications for our various projects. Junee Community Network, in conjunction with Railstore Industries, have also acted as Project Managers on many of these projects.
Junee Community Network have developed this website for the Junee Seniors, as well as establishing a social media presence for us.
Junee Community Network have certainly helped bring the Junee Seniors in to the 21st Century.

Junee Shire Council
Junee Shire Council have been strong supporters of the Junee Senior Citizen’s Club for decades. They are our major local partner for NSW Seniors Festival each year and they support many of our various events and projects.
Junee Community Centre
The Junee Community Centre are a major local partner with the Junee Seniors. They provide an annual sponsorship to the Junee Seniors Hall and host a number of events and activities within the Hall for their own clients and the wider community.

Junee Community Power
Through the Junee Circular Fund, operated by Junee Community Power, the Junee Seniors have been able to install solar panels on the roof of the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall and install energy efficient reverse cycle heating and air conditioning in the Hall — helping us to reduce our monthly energy bills whilst simultaneously allowing the Hall to be warmer or cooler as appropriate.
