Launch Event for Upgrades to Junee Seniors Hall

Thanks to a $60,783 grant provided under the NSW Government’s Clubgrants Category 3 Fund, the Junee Seniors undertook a number of upgrades to bring the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall into the 21st Century and on November 02, 2023 they invited local dignitaries to a small Launch Event.


Cr Bob Callow, Junee Shire Council Mayor, officially opened the new facilities.

The Grant from the NSW Government’s Clubgrants Category 3 Fund enable the following projects to occur:

  • Installation of a uni-sex, accessible toilet,
  • Installation of a new audio-visual presentation system (including smart TV, Soundbar, BluRay Player and Digital Set-Top Streaming Box)
  • Installation of Internet access with Public Access WiFi
  • Installation of CCTV security system
  • Purchase of an Square EFTPOS Terminal

Barbara Guthrie, Junee Senior’s Treasurer, said the hall is used by a number of groups, and the improvements will ensure all members of the community can take advantage of this revitalised asset. “We are delighted to know that people with walkers and wheelchairs will now have access to the toilets, along with some technology to help us move into the 21st Century,” Barbara said.
