The Junee Seniors celebrated the 2024 NSW Seniors Festival with a number of events and activities during the week commencing Sunday March 17 thru to Saturday March 23.
- Afternoon Tea was served at the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall as part of the Festival Launch Event on the Sunday afternoon.
- A bus trip to Albury with morning tea at Culcairn, lunch at Albury Commercial Club and a wander around Peards Nursery
- A couple of free Concert’s and Movies held at the Athenium Theatre and Junee Ex-Services Club
- Various Exercises and Activities at the Junee Junction Recreation and Aquatic Centre
- Various Activities, including an Author Visit by Dr Anne Ring, at the Junee Library
- Bingo at the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall and Junee Ex-Services Club
- Croquet and Lunch at the Junee Ex-Services Club
- A dinner with Rotary Club of Junee
- A Closing Dinner event at the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall

Highlights from the Albury Bus Trip
Over 40 seniors hopped aboard the Junee Seniors Festival Bus for an exhilarating adventure in Albury with a day filled with excitement and discovery. They indulged in a delightful morning tea at Culcairn, savoured a delectable lunch at the Albury Commercial Club, and immersed themselves in the wonders of Peards Nursery. Thanks to Junee Shire Council for sponsoring this event.
Highlights from the Silver Serenade Concert
Students from Junee Preschool and St Joseph’s Primary School performed a number of songs for the Junee Seniors in a concert and lunch held in the Junee Ex-Services Club Auditorium.
Junee Preschool performed Wash Your Face with Orange Juice, Dr Knickabocka and concluded with a Fijian Welcome.
St Joseph’s Primary School performed Wonderful World, Country Roads, Sweet Carolyn and concluded with Build Me Up Buttercup.
Highlights from the Seniors Festival Closing Dinner
On the Sunday evening, a small Closing Dinner was held at the Junee Seniors Hall. The Junee Seniors were entertained by the Junee Ukulele Group before dinner was (self) served. Then dessert was also self-served.
