Junee Seniors Festival 2026 Event Calendar

The 2026 Junee Seniors Festival will be held from Sunday March 1 through to Saturday March 15, 2026.

There are tons of exciting activities and events happening OVER TWO WEEKS and across Junee Shire, including:

Social Gatherings, Morning Tea, Bingo and Cards @ Junee Seniors Hall
Bus Trip to Whitton Malt House & Cotton Gin
Vintage Speedway & Karts, and Khanacross @ Illabo Motorsport Park
Open Days @ Junee Mens Shed
Movies and Events @ the Athenium Theatre
Concert by local schools, Budgerigar Show, Raffles, Markets, Dancing, Live Music, Bingo, Lawn Bowls, and Croquet @ Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club
Live Music across multiple venues in Junee including Commercial Hotel, Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory, Red Cow Hotel, Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club, and Junee Hotel

Junee Seniors AGM 2025

The annual AGM of Junee Seniors Inc will be held in the Seniors Hall.

13 Lisgar St Junee on Tuesday 2nd September 2025.

Starts at 1.30pm followed by a General Meeting then a delicious afternoon tea (please bring along a plate of goodies to share).

Financial members are eligible to nominate and vote for candidates.

Advance nominations must be supplied to the Secretary by close of business on Monday 25th August.

Junee Seniors Hosts Grant Acknowledgement Luncheon (5-Aug-2025)

On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the Junee Seniors hosted a “Grant Acknowledgement Luncheon” to say thank you to some of the organisations that have funded various of the projects under our “Bring the Junee Seniors Hall in to the 21st Century” strategy.

Kyle from GrainCorp, along with John and Rebecca from the Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club, attended the lunch and our grant writers and project managers Janice, Nicholas, and Ben were also present; along with our committee and many members of the Junee Seniors.

Junee Seniors Festival 2025 Highlights

The Junee Seniors celebrated the 2025 NSW Seniors Festival with a number of events and activities during the week commencing Saturday March 8 thru to Saturday March 15, 2025.

Activities undertaken during the Junee Seniors Festival included:

Afternoon Tea was served at the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall as part of the Festival Launch Event on the Sunday afternoon.
A bus trip to Goulburn visiting Calabria Wines and Catania Fruit Salad Farm
Visit to Illabo Motorsport Park to watch their Vintage Speedway and Karts event
Open Day at the Junee Men’s Shed
A couple of Concerts and a Movie, held at the Athenium Theatre
Various Exercises and Activities at the Junee Junction Recreation and Aquatic Centre
Various Activities, including an an Introduction to Family History by Gavin Small, at the Junee Library
Bingo at the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall and Junee Ex-Services Club
Lawn Bowls, Croquet, and Dancing at the Junee Ex-Services Club
A Closing Dinner event at the Junee Senior Citizen’s Hall

New Storage Upgrades for Junee Seniors Hall thanks to a $2,100 grant from Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club

Thanks to a $2,100 grant through ClubGrants Category 1 & 2 via the Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club, the Junee Seniors were able to purchase a number of cabinets and tubs to increase the storage facilities within the Junee Seniors Hall.

New Crockery, Cutlery, Glassware, and Tableware for Junee Seniors thanks to $2,500 Grant from ARTC Inland Rail

Inland Rail

Thanks to a $2,500 grant through the ARTC Inland Rail Community Grants Program; the Junee Seniors have purchased modern and matching commercial grade crockery, cutlery, glassware, and tableware for the Junee Seniors’ Hall.

This project is just one of many that have been recently undertaken by the Junee Seniors to bring ourselves, and our hall, in to the 21st Century.
